Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Medical College has been established in the year 1981 by Ananda Social and Education Trust,with the objective of providing Primary, Secondary and Tertiary health care facilities to the deserving. The institution also envisages provision of quality medical education both for Undergraduates and Post graduates.

It also has facilities for cultural and sports activities for students fulfilling the need for extra curricular activities.

The curriculum followed, is as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, which awards the various degrees & diplomas.

The college has a well equipped Library, Laboratories, Lecture hall and adequate teaching staff. It has its own hospital in its campus which is spread over an acre of 25. Also the K.C.General hospital, Malleshwaram, attached to our medical college.

The college provides primary health care delivery and primary care training at the rural health training centre at Halasur. In addition, an urban health training centre at Sultanpalya is attached to our institution.

The hospital has the latest Radiological investigative equipments, is shortly commissioning a Renal dialysis unit and a Treadmill. Facilities for microscopic surgery in Ophthalmology and ENT are available. The hospital is manned by dedicated doctors who are committed to teaching and patient care.

The students coming out of our college have been placed in good positions worldwide, and their feedback to us helps in maintaining and constantly improving ourselves.
