WHO CAN APPLY AND HOW TO APPLY ?

  1. Those who have passed the two year Pre-University course examination conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Board or other equivalent qualifying examinations with physics, Chemistry and Biology as electives with not less than 50% Score in the electives are eligible to seek admission to First Year M.B.B.S Course leading upto the MBBS Degree of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

  2. The registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences is the authority to decide equivalence and any information or clarification may be sought directly from the Registrar, Bangalore University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

  3. All candidates must appear for a recognised medical entrance examination in order to be considered eligible for admission (Must have a rank, by the competent authority)

  4. The Candidate seeking admission should have completed seventeen years at the time of admission.

  5. The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates seeking admission should have scored a minimum of 40% in the electives. Otherwise the eligibility conditions remain the same for them also.

  6. The foreign nationals seeking admission to this college have to comply with all the formalities as laid down by the Government of India as in force at the time of application. Even the provisional admissions made of foreign students will be confirmed subject to the approval of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

  7. An application form seeking admission to the college will have to be made on the prescribed application form sold by the college.

  8. All correspondence is to be addressed to the Principal, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Medical College, Kadugondanahalli, Bangalore – 560 045.

  9. Incompletely or inaccurately filled applications are liable to be rejected.

  10. If the college comes to know of an admission made on the basis of any fraudulent means, the seat will be cancelled.

  11. The applicant will have to quote the Application Number (given on top of the application form) in all his correspondence with the college following submission of the application.

Please enclose the following documents with your application. (as applicable)

  1. Attested copy of the certificate issued by the University or board for having passed the Two-Year Pre-University Examination or an equivalent or higher examination which confers eligibility of the candidate to seek admission to first Year M.B.B.S Course.

  2. Attested copy of the marks sheet showing the marks obtained in various subjects in the qualifying examination.

  3. Attested copy of the certificate of rank obtained in the medical entrance examination.

  4. A certificate from the principal of the college concerned showing the number of attempts taken by the applicant to pass Pre-University or equivalent or higher examination.

  5. A certificate from the Principal of the Institution last attended in respect of participation by the applicant in the following : Sports, NCC, Social Service or any other extracurricular activity indicating the level and duration of such participation.

  6. If the applicant belongs to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or other backward Class Documentary proof in support of such claim.

  11. Two latest full-face colour photographs (passport size) bearing the signature of the applicant at the front bottom of the photograph enclosed in an envelope marked “photographs”. This is in addition to the photograph to be affixed to the application form at the space provided for it.

  12. A certificate form a Registered Medical Practitioner indicating the physical fitness of the applicant to pursue medical course and practice the career. The certificate amongst other things should include : height, weight, chest expansion, vision in each eye, hearing, any evidence of degenerative diseases, physical or mental infirmity or any other disease.

  1. The duly filled application form, complete in all respects, should reach the Principal on or before the prescribed last date specified.

  2. The applicant may hand over the application personally at the college office or by registered post acknowledgement due so as to reach the Principal before the prescribed last date specified.

  3. Applications received in the college office after the due dates are liable to be rejected.

  4. The mere submission of an application for admission does not confer any right on the applicant nor does it cast any obligation on the college.

  5. The college Governing Council will constitute a Selection committee to scrutinize the applications and screen the applicants by holding an interview for admission to the college.

  6. The college reserves the right to admit or refuse to admit any application at its discretion without assigning any reason whatsoever. The decision of the college in this matter is final
